Quality Child Care

ENF Family Day Care Program was initiated and funded by New York City's Agency For Child Development and the New York State Department of Social Services. This unique program offers a 30 hour course for individuals interested in caring for infants, toddlers, pre-school children and school-aged children requiring supervision after school. The curriculum covers such subjects as child development, safety, first aid, food and nutrition, age appropriate activities, supervision and business management.

Upon successfully completing the course, participants are certified by the New York City Department of Health and are eligible to provide child care services in their homes. ENF has offered start-up funds and equipment to those individuals who joined ENF's Child Care Provider Network.

Over 1,000 participants have completed the course and are now providing quality child care for the residents of East Flatbush.
