Erasmus Neighborhood Federation,
Inc. (ENF), a community based not-for-profit organization funded
by New York City and New York State and private foundations, has
been serving the East Flatbush community for more than two decades.
Since 1979, ENF has provided assistance to the community in the
areas of tenant rights, affordable housing, commercial revitalization
and economic development, childcare, and employment counseling.
As the needs of the community changed, ENF expanded its service
to include immigration rights, youth services and computer training,
and community organizing
ENF has organized
tenant associations block associations and tenant patrols. ENF provides
technical assistance in Housing Court matters to both tenants and
landlords. ENF has trained and provided job counseling to over one
thousand (1,000) Child-Care Providers in accordance with The New
York City Department of Health Licensing Standards Division. ENF
obtained, coordinated and managed the five year multi-million dollar
Church and Nostrand Avenues commercial revitalization project.
